Exciting update! In order to honor the legacy of Irving Peddrew III, The Black College Institute (BCI) has officially been renamed the Peddrew-Yates Institute (PYI).

While our name has changed, our mission to inspire, empower, and support future leaders remains the same.

Honoring the legacy of Irving Peddrew and Charlie Yates, the first Black students at Virginia Tech, this name reflects our commitment to excellence and inclusivity.
