2025 Geoscience Camp at Virginia Tech Program Participant Application Part 1

1. Participant Application including one short essay
2. Parent Form (Information submitted in this form will be used to determine transportation support, if applicable)

This is a free camp for middle school students interested in Geosciences. Space is limited. Preference will be given to residents of the New River Valley and Southwest Virginia.

All camps will be held in-person on the Blacksburg campus. Unless transportation support is offered, you are responsible for transportation to and from Virginia Tech.

After you submit this part of the application, you (the potential camper) and your parents/guardians will receive an email confirmation. The email will include a link to the Parent Form, which your parent/guardian must fill out in order to be considered for the camp.

Upon a campers acceptance, additional required forms will be sent to the both the camper and parent's emails. All additional forms must be submitted before the camper can attend Geoscience Camp. Parents/Guardians must sign students in and out of the camp at drop-off and pick-up.

Completed applications are due on May 16, 2025*, and decisions will be emailed on or before May 30. We will continue to accept applications for camps until July 1, 2025, or the camps are full, whichever comes first.
